ALLEX Ostomy Scissors Review: Are These Japanese Stainless Steel Scissors Worth It?

These Allex ones are so much better than the cheap plastic ones I was using before!! The curve is perfect for cutting the wafer and they stay super sharp.

I was skeptical about "Japanese steel" being a marketing gimmick, but these actually feel very premium for the price. They have a nice weight to them and the rounded tips mean I don't have to worry about poking the pouch by accident. Definitely worth the upgrade.

honestly these allex scissors are a life saver. i’ve tried a few different brands over the years and most of them get dull after a month or two but these are still going strong. the blades are thin enough to get a really precise cut which helps with my skin irritation issues since the fit is tighter now. only downside is the finger holes are a bit small if u have larger hands but for me they work great. highly recommend!

They haven't rusted at all even after getting wet a few times, which is a huge plus for me. After trying three different brands, I’m sticking with ALLEX. I love that they are made in Japan because the steel quality is always superior. It makes a very clean cut which helps the barrier stick better to my skin without any weird gaps. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

So, these are definitely sharp and the safety tip is a plus, but the tension was a bit tight right out of the box. I had to put a drop of oil on the screw to get them to move smoothly. Good product overall but maybe not perfect for everyone right away.
